机器人

机器人 is one of three academic clubs offered at AMHS.

团队的历史

In 2003 a group of students who were interested in robotics joined the AMHS 科学 Club, and they discovered 第一个 (For Inspiration and Recognition of 科学 and Technology), an organization which sponsors international robotics competitions. With support from the school, this small group registered to compete in the 第一个 机器人 Competition at San Jose State in March, 2004.  Since our first year, our coed membership has grown from 15 to over 80 members.

我们是谁??

The Mitty 机器人 Team is a registered 第一个 机器人 team (Team #1351) and works to promote interest in STEM fields. The team operates year-round to provide opportunities for our members to explore their diverse interests in engineering, business management, and computer programming. 团队的 网站 is designed and maintained by team members. 在竞争中, other teams recognize us by our nickname, TKO, an acronym for our motto, “坚韧, 知识, and Opportunity,” values we utilize to grow and develop as a team.

Where do we compete?

Mitty 机器人 competes three times. In the fall of the school year, the team competes at WRRF’s CalGames, an off-season event, which is a replay of the game from the spring 第一个 regionals. After the new year’s unique challenge is announced in January, the team designs and builds a robot to compete in two official 第一个 regional events held in March/April. The team travels to UC-Davis to compete in the Sacramento Regional, and luckily we are able to enjoy the close proximity of San Jose State University, which graciously hosts the Silicon Valley Regional.
